About She

Sophia Al-Maria is a Qatarican*  suffering from delusions of grandeur.

She makes videos, writes and tweets like every other netive these days.

You can find her writing in Bidoun, Triple Canopy and once even in Harper’s Magazine.

Her first book The Girl Who Fell to Earth (Harper Collins) is …dropping Fall 2012. 

So far her greatest achievement is getting hyperlinked on LIFE  standing next to Robert De Niro explaining how to get a Nissan Patrol up on two wheels.  It’s all downhill from here.

She lives and works  in Doha.
